Skipjack’s 3-Point Shooting Downs Hawks

Harrisburg, PA –  The HACC Hawks men's basketball team faced Chesapeake College on Thursday night in a tough match-up. Chesapeake College fired on all cylinders shooting 37.2% at the 3-point line, holding the advantage over the Hawks.

The Skipjacks set the tone for the game as the Hawks struggled to gain momentum and put points on the board. The Hawks put forth a gallant team effort, but the Skipjacks took the lead, ending the first half 20-57. The second half the Hawks battled back, finding their rhythm. The hawks held a strong defense with 22 rebounds as a team and seven steals. However, the Skipjack's offense was too strong for the Hawks. The team trailed behind in the second, 18-53. Chesapeake College cruised through to the finish line with a final score of 110-38.

The Hawks lead shooter of the night was Kevin Perales with nine points and four assists. Javon Ford captured seven points for the night. Lincoln Morris followed with seven points and four rebounds. Anthony Alviani rallied five points with two rebounds and two assists.

The Hawks hit the road Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 to take on the Montgomery Community College Mustangs. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
