During the first half of this game, both of these high-powered teams put a big emphasis on preventing each side from gaining a comfortable lead with excellent defense. Guard Maurice Smith (Newton High School) was a testament to this, with his six defensive rebound contribution and total of four first half points. Guard Keith Bullock (Cardozo High School) once again, led this team in 1st half scoring with nine points and four total steals to go with his performance. As the first half of this game came to an end, the Cardinals would eclipse 18 points and hold a four point lead against this Chesapeake team, which put up a total of 14-points.

The second half of this game became a rampant sequence of scoring by both sides. Forward Christopher Johnson (St. Georges High) really showed out with seven rebounds and 13-points to give the team a shot to win it all. Other contributors like Bullock and Smith, would each have four rebounds and drop a pair of six plus points each. In the end, this game grew close by each passing minute and we would come to see how momentum shifts on both sides would keep this match close up until the very end of regulation. Though in the very end, Chesapeake would come out victorious with a total of 62-points. The final score of this game would be 62 Chesapeake – 56 Cardinals.
