Skipjacks Lose The Lead Late And Fall To Raritan Valley Community College

The Skipjacks (4-11) stumbled down the end to lose a tough one against Raritan Valley Community College 68-65. Up by 7 with 4 minutes left Chesapeake had to be feeling good but they let a win slip right out of their hands. Not playing 40 minutes has been the downfall for this years Chesapeake squad and their season could soon be over if that does not change.

For the second straight game Anthony Tate Jr was the leading scorer with 27 points, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds. This young man is making a name for himself at the Peake is getting better each day. Tate is dominating with the ball in his hands and creating for his teammates around him. Freshman Thomas Agnew came out strong with a cool line of 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in the losing effort. For the Skipjacks the combination of Tate and Agnew at point has been a dominating site but the production around them just hasn't stepped up.

Coach Allen Mitchell has been stressing the need to finish games and have guys step up. Coach Mitchell is enjoying the recent play of freshman Benami Spence who again had a solid game on the boards with9 rebounds to go along with his 5 points. Coach believes Benami can be a force to deal with and has the ability to approve even more.

Next up for the Skipjacks is Anne Arundel Community College in a league game. To win this game Coach Mitchell wants his guys to finish and play a complete 40 minutes.
