Skipjacks Gain 10th Victory Over Garrett

WYE MILLS, MD - On Friday December 10th, the Chesapeake men's basketball team came out on top of their battle versus Garrett College, finishing the evening with an end result of 82-77. 

At halftime, the score stood at a single point difference in Garrett's favor at 39-40, making it absolutely essential for Chesapeake to get back on the court following the half with a reframed mentality for the final 20:00 to take back control on the court. Chesapeake was ultimately successful in altering whatever necessary to turn the game back around and end it in their favor despite the 1st half. 

Point leaders of the event were led by Skipjacks #5 JayShaun Freeman who accomplished a commendable 32 points and 8 rebounds for the evening. Freeman was followed by #2 Jabraun Shingler with 17 points and 11 rebounds to show for his hard work during his appearances on the court.

In the end, Chesapeake was successful in altering whatever mentality or strategies necessary to turn the game back around and into one that they are in charge of, regardless of where they left off following the 1st half of game play. Ultimately, the Skipjacks returned for the following the half and went on to earn a commendable 42 points to Garrett's 38 - finishing out the game ahead of their opponent with a final score of 82-77 to show for their shared determination. 

Chesapeake will take the court for their final home game of the month on Wednesday, December 15th at 7:00 PM. The Skipjack's will be welcoming the Hagerstown Hawks into Skipjack Arena for an eventful and competitive evening of basketball.
