The Skipjacks held the Owls to a 4-0 run early, but turnovers and missed shots soon gave Harford the advantage, allowing Danielle Durjan (19 points) to kick-off a 12-0 run with a three from deep. The first Chesapeake three-pointer was scored by Chandni Taylor (3 points) in the first quarter.

Dominique Walker (9 points) kicked off the second quarter with three-pointer, which began a 16-0 blitz by Harford. A three-pointer from Deondria Wimber (5 points) ended another Harford blitz mid-second quarter. Daisa Harris of the Owls scored an impressive 31 points in the first half.

The second half opened with a three-pointer from Harford's Danielle Durjan; Emily Truitt (10 points) of the Skipjacks answered quickly with her own three-pointer. The first Skipjack to enter double figures was Shahra Madison, who ended the game with the only double-double (19 points, 11 rebounds).

The Owls passed the century mark to start the fourth quarter, thanks to a three-pointer from Daisa Harris. Emily Truitt provided another quick Chesapeake answer with another three-pointer. Daisa Harris left the game with 3:17 to go, having scored an impressive 48 points.

"Harford played well, they executed well, they played well. We have some things to work on. We just need to get ready for Regionals" said Chesapeake Coach Gwen Barnes after the game.

The Skipjacks (15-8, 9-4) will compete in the NJCAA Region XX Tournament on Friday, March 10 at Howard Community College.
