Lions split DH with Del Tech

Your CCBC Dundalk Lions split the double header this Sunday winning 10-7 and losing 18-1 to Delaware Technical Community College.

In the bottom of the 1st inning Chaney Skeans led off with a single. Matt Fino drew a walk to put two men on. A wild pitch moved them over to second and third. Then a balk scored Skeans and put Fino on third. Mike Newsome singled to right center and brought Fino home. The Lions lead 2-0 after the 1st inning.

In the top of the 3rd Del Tech answered with two runs of their own to tie the game up at 2-2. In the bottom half of the inning the Lions took the lead right back when Fino reached second from a ball thrown into the dugout by Del Tech's second basemen and Newsome doubled to bring him home.

Before Skeans could continue his amazing day a wild pitch moved everyone around the bases and Brack scored. Then Skeans records another single and brings Nichols and Hansel home. Lions Lead 10-4. The game finished with a final score of 10-7, snapping the 6 game losing streak.

Game two… well let's just forget game two happened. The Lions lost 18-1 in 5 innings. Believe it or not the Lions actually had the lead at one point in this game. In the bottom of the first Jackson walked and made it to second on a passed ball. Jouseph Rodriguez hit a double to bring Jackson home. Kevin Gamble had a hit in the bottom of the second inning and that was the last baserunner for the Lions on the day.

The Lions are back in action at Del Tech on Thursday, April 15.
