Seahawks Sweep Tri-Match

WYE MILLS, Md. - The Seahawks claimed two wins over the weekend, downing Anne Arundel (3-0) and host Chesapeake (3-0) on Saturday.

Cecil has now won three straight and moves to 4-2 (3-2 Region 20) on the season.

Cecil 3 - Chesapeake 0

Lydia Davis led the Seahawks with 7 kills, as Cecil cruised to a three-set victory over the Skipjacks. Cecil sandwiched two dominant sets around a nail-biter in the second. The Seahawks eventually took set two, 25-23.

Crystal Lenk finished with four kills, while Amanda Wagner and Natalie Diamond chipped in three each. Skylar Klingler made 18 assists.

Cecil 3 - Anne Arundel 0

Cecil dominated set one, 25-9, to go up 1-0. The Riverhawks of Anne Arundel fought harder in the final two frames, but the Seahawks claimed both to earn another three-set victory on the day.

Lydia Davis and Amanda Wagner did most of the heavy lifting on offense, combing for 19 of Cecil's 24 kills. Skylar Klingler produced 23 assists.

On defense, Katelyn Norman-Wilson finished with a team high five digs. Norman-Wilson and Davis both had six aces as well.
