Skipjack Arena

Located in the Health Performance and Athletics Center (HPAC), which was built in 2015, you can find Chesapeake’s Michael D. Kilgus Court in the Skipjack Arena – home of Chesapeake’s basketball and volleyball teams. Skipjack Arena contains a retractable bleacher system for seating capacity of approximately 500.

There are six total basketball hoops that can be raised or lowered for a main court set up, or two smaller side by side courts. In addition to basketball, capabilities for a main volleyball court is present as well.

Various cosmetic upgrades were complete in 2021 such as refinishing and repainting the floor as well as adding the Skipjack logo to center court.
